This clown admits that his phony-baloney “religion,” which consists of “gods” which he knows are not real, springs from the “Eurofolk” themselves. But there is no standard for morality and ethics if these things are internal to ourselves. It’s as if I were to declare, on my own authority, that a meter is the span from my shoulder to fingertip. As I grow, the standard changes, but undaunted, I loudly affirm that the standard still exists. My son comes along and revises the “standard” yet again, arrogantly claiming that it is equal to the span from his own shoulder to fingertip. And round and round we go. Our houses fall down, no one knows how fast to drive, and chaos reigns, but we rest assured that our standards, they change not.
Navel-gazer Stephen McNallen claims that his idolatry “encourages healthy families.” Where are these families? To how many generations have neo-pagans passed their legacy? If “representative government, limitations on the rights of rulers, the right to bear arms, respect for women, and Anglo-Saxon Common Law” are the products of paganism, it stands to reason that these would have been passed from generation to generation with a healthy respect for the pagan roots from which they draw sustenance. But we know that this is not the case. In fact, though I don’t know a thing about McNallen personally, I can rather confidently predict that his father does not share his beliefs, nor will his son, if he even has a son. It’s just a lot of masturbatory, navel-gazing, hocus-pocus, and my crippled dog will sooner save the West than these morons.
This is another good example of the action-figure “god” worship of many white nationalists. There are at least three problems with it:
1. No one believes that these gods were ever real. No one believes that they ever actually did anything. No one believes that they ever will do anything. They are lifeless. Therefore, they are fantasies, and anyone who calls them “gods” is a willful liar, as is anyone who calls belief without substance “faith.” The studio that made the Transformers movies was paid handsomely in ticket sales. White nationalists, who venerate the same action figures, have nothing to show for it. Pathetic.
2. Asatru and other false religions are essentially Westernized versions of Shintoism. If our ancestors are gods then we too will become gods. There is no need to give a thought to anything as vulgar as “sin” because deity is destiny. But of course, this has nothing whatsoever to do with the West. No one can deny that the West, as we have known it until recent times, is not the product of Shintoism. Therefore, how can those who promote Shintoism pretend that they are going to save the West? They can only change it into something unrecognizable (that is, they would try if they could get anyone to pay attention to their silly ideas).
3. The Bible calls the love of money the root of all evil. The typical white nationalist calls the Jew the root of all evil. But how is their race-worship and self-worship any different than the race cult known as Talmudism? Christians (i.e., Kinists) oppose Jews because they are anti-Christs. Most white nationalists seem to oppose them out of envy. No one who is at odds with actual white history is going to save the white race. At best, they are trying to save their own genes out of a Darwinistic selfishness. The Kinist has a completely different mentality. We certainly do want to preserve our people, but for the glory of God, who both created us and redeemed us from the curse of death, not for our own vanity. “From this broken hill all your praises they shall ring, if it be your will to let me sing.”
Still, there are some nuggets of gold to be unearthed at AltRight, none more radiant than James Kalb’s articles here and here. Kalb makes the very good point that the distinguishing characteristic of liberalism is that it tries to make the particular and universal absolute. As Kinists, this is our primary complaint with the churches of today; even the “conservative” churches are liberal. When J. Gresham Machen saw liberalism overtaking the Church about ninety years ago, he correctly identified it as another religion entirely. And so it is; it is basically the substitution of unitarianism for trinitarianism. Neo-Christians no longer seem to understand that true unity is not monolithic. Nor is true love to be found in the absolute One. Even God Himself is a diversity of persons who needs no one but Himself to both give and receive love. This is why we say “God is Love,” and it is why pagan religions have no adequate explanation for the origin of the cosmos. (If God is God, He must be eternal, but even pagans agree that eternity would be a lonely existence for a solitary being.)
Kalb shows that liberalism has had disastrous consequences for manhood. Emasculated by liberalism, a man becomes a purely private individual or a cog in the social wheel, but not a Man, with all the complexity that the mightiest name given to creatures entails. “The net effect is that we’re free to be you and me, as long as the differences never matter.” Monistic absolutism “either crushes the particular, as in Maoism, or turns it into an illusion, as in some Oriental religions.” The upshot is that “modernist—secularist, rationalist, reductionist—alternatives to liberalism don’t work.” By “making the world smaller and simpler than it has to be for us to inhabit,” they “end up as crazy as liberalism and probably more violent.”
Obviously, balance is needed. Race (as we see among white nationalists) and the “indivisible nation” (as we see among patriotards) become stand-ins for something that is big enough to unite factions but small enough to be grasped as a unity. Kalb realizes that the imbalance remains: the individual still disappears into the thicket while the race still lacks a relation to the universal. The elements that once contributed to positive unity then turn reactionary, and unity comes to be defined by its animosity to foreigners and other threats. (All you have to do, to see if your favorite cause is reactionary, is ask yourself what would sustain it if its enemies were to magically disappear.)
“Instead of Duty we have particular duties to attend to.” Yet Duty, as an abstraction, provides us with the framework to see our role in what is larger than ourselves. Likewise, Race is an abstraction, but it is a crucial abstraction that helps us to understand the importance of our people in relation to mankind. Stability is achieved at the intersection. The balance is and has always been found in faith. “Universals provide the setting that determines the nature and significance of particulars. Particulars give universals reality and function. Intermediate arrangements look both ways. From one direction they bring universals down to earth and make them particular standards individuals can deal with.” This is straight out of the Bible. There are no standards without universals, and contrary to the pagans, universals are not given birth by particulars. What particular circumstances could have created the laws of logic? And if the universal is hostile to the particular, as pagans claim (they hate universals because universals impose limitations), why do the universal principles of logic not dictate that the local must be sacrificed to the global?
All believers can be spiritually united in faith, but to pretend, as our lying preachers do, that particular races and nations and borders have been rendered “insignificant” and dissolved into the “nation” of the Christians of the world is madness. It is every bit as mad to agree with Greg Johnson that “our race is our religion.” Kinship, severed from faith in the true God and dependence upon His revealed Word, has no intersection point between the universal and particular. Kalb’s whole point is that without a metaphysical reference point, we are cut adrift; our “kinship” will never rise above belligerence and tyranny because it will never transcend the natural. This is precisely the point we made in the Alex Linder thread here. Grace is alien to nature. Nature is red in tooth and claw. We are not animals; we are created in God’s own image.
Kalb reminds us that “a society is always based on some sort of established religion.” This is absolutely true. An atheist is one who would be a pagan if he were not too intellectually honest to be a play-actor. Yet both atheists and pagans, having no standard for morality but their own gut, and having no explanation for why their lives and thoughts should be considered any more important than the life of a flea, craft a religion around their own needs, and at the very center is a god bearing their own likeness. Scratch the waxy surface and the flaws become apparent. As Kalb writes, the atheists and pagans want to believe that good is better than bad, that localities are as important as the ecosystem, and that truth, rationality, and knowledge are possible. Ask them to explain why and you’ll get nothing. They’ll say that ancient Germans were monogamous and ancient Greeks were into science and white people are creative and beautiful. In other words, they’ll change the subject. As Kalb hints, they need to consider that Christianity did not transform the West because enough people were convinced that “magic, miracles, and pixie dust” can intrude upon the world that exists. Christianity transformed the West because the Word of God is true. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. All of history has pointed either forwards or backwards to His Incarnation, which confirmed Him to be the Son of God.
Obviously, some will trust in Christ and some will not. But let’s dispense with the folly that white activists are going to put their websites together and dream up a New and Improved Religion that our race will adopt on nothing more credible than political oratory. That bridge has been crossed and there is no going back. “You can’t return to the egg,” as Kalb says. The West has been purchased with the price of innocent blood. Baptism is the mark of ownership.
Peruse Kalb’s website. He says there’s a difference between religion-as-true and religion-as-useful, and only the former is actually religion. He shows that the pagan conception of honor is lacking. Though he focuses on “Catholic Christianity,” he is really teaching what C.S. Lewis called “Mere Christianity.”

Our friend Confed caught John Lofton in a hilarious bit of hypocrisy. When Lofton talks to Kinists, he pretends that he doesn’t know the race to which he belongs.
Is there a way to know, for sure, what “race” a person is? If so, tell me, please—succinctly if possible—so I may find out what I am. Then, I’ll start checking my wife; then other married folks in our family. I ask for this because I do not want to mistakenly misidentify anyone.
But when he talks to a black man, he stops acting coy and admits, “as a white person…I’m white all day and all night…as one finite, white human being.”
Now we learn from Siegfried Himmel that Gary DeMar calls any talk of race “un-American” and unbiblical. Drink in this stupidity:
My wife and I received our 2010 Census form. We got the long version. It’s filled with questions about race and national origin. It’s un-American and an insult. The Bible does not separate people according to racial characteristics. Such a classification system is truly modern, based on evolutionary assumptions.
In the same way that these lying preachers latch on to the word “racism,” which was invented by Jew Communist Leon Trotsky in 1930 as an epithet against “Slavophiles” whose “crime” was loving their own people and trying to protect their traditions, they hear the word “race” and it sets off a switch in their cranial cavities: “Must…deny…race!” (DeMar even rejects “classification.”) The stupid part is that they do this even though the entire Bible is about separation according to blood, and transcendent unity because of the human scale that separation affords (Acts 17:27). DeMar even claims that “national origin” is “un-American and an insult.” So it’s un-American to be an American if by “American” you mean of the race that actually founded America. (This is what passes for Christian scholarship in the year 2010.) As we never tire of reminding the world, every last one of our founding fathers denied what DeMar and Lofton are teaching, in spite of the fact that their websites are called “American Vision” and “The American View.” These men are one-world unitarians who want to erase borders. They believe that national boundaries should not exist between Christians. They know that our fathers were informed by the Bible, not evolution, yet they insist on equating age-old Christian doctrine with Darwinism. They are liars, put simply, and the worst part of all is that they think God’s creation of the races of men was an accident; mere happenstance that they can correct in the name of “love.” Their “love” is hatred, and what they call “good” is evil.
Pastors did not used to be so craven, and they governed their own homes as Christians governed their countries. Here is George Herbert, quoted from The Country Parson, 1633, regarding the “Parson in his House”:
He suffers not a lie or equivocation by any means in his house, but counts it the art and secret of governing to preserve a directness and open plainness in all things… He keeps his servants between love and fear, according as he finds them; but generally he distributes it thus: to his children he shows more love than terror, to his servants more terror than love; but an old good servant boards a child [sic. borders on, approaches the status of a child].
Gary North is blaming the fall of Detroit on “socialism.” Don’t you love the colorblind? We would pat them on the head for being innocent and naive if they weren’t pathological liars.
As far as [North] knows, Whites who attempt to live in downtown Detroit are intimidated by intrusive bureaucrats, mugged by excessive taxation, raped by inflationary reserve policies, and murdered by disincentivized medical professionals. It’s a boggling demonstration of ideological tunnel vision and a necessary reminder that many of these people are loyal to their abstractions, not their countrymen.
Matt Parrott has a good line in his excellent article: “Libertarianism truly is applied autism.” But this is letting North off the hook as someone who is sadly misguided.
I’m reminded of DeMar and McDurmon blaming Haiti’s woes on inadequate building codes. And now McDurmon is blaming American socialism on Lutherans!
Actually, he makes some good theological points about the “two-kingdom” dualism that came from Plato by way of Augustine. This is the idea that the Church is to be ruled by God’s law but the State is to be ruled by natural law. It leads to all sorts of confused beliefs about Romans 13, law versus gospel, and faith versus works. There are people who actually try to thumb through the Bible and separate the “law” verses from the “gospel” verses, but the Bible doesn’t allow it. (Michael Horton even thinks that 2 Chronicles 7:14 is not a promise that applies to us because it was for ancient Israel under the law.) This sort of person desires for the clergy alone to be the transformative force for the kingdom of God in the world. Therefore, they hate theocracy and what used to be called Christendom because then the state is expected to follow the same laws. They are much more comfortable with their own sense of importance when infidels are in charge of civil society. Then they can correctly criticize other Christians who think they still live in a theocracy, as was the case when prayer was removed from public schools, and Christians clamored for it to be restored, not realizing that their prayers would be directed to something named “God” which was certainly not the God of the Bible.
The immediate trouble with McDurmon’s analysis is that, as Mark Twain said, to a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Judeochristians, by refusing to even think about race, can’t help but make themselves look foolish. In this case, Lutherans are given the weight of the blame for demanding socialism rather than the vast non-white hordes who have never known liberty and who use Marxism as a leveling mechanism.
But how is Marxism really different, in the low bottom, from libertarianism? For both, “every last human is abstracted into an atomic unit of economic interest. Race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, culture, and character are little more than transactional inefficiencies.” There is a common thread between the colorblind conservative/libertarian egghead who denies race and the urban activist who openly advocates revolution, whether it is to spread the legs of white women or to steal from the rich. “Government didn’t kill Detroit. Our inability to accept and react responsibly to racial reality killed Detroit.”
I would rather be called a “racist” any day than one who speaks utter nonsense like North, DeMar, McDurmon, Lofton, and countless other Judeochristians.
When Ann Coulter’s speech is canceled, it makes the front pages of every major media outlet. When David Duke and Jared Taylor have their conferences canceled for the same reasons, the general feeling is that “racists” are getting what they deserve. The public still doesn’t seem to understand that “racist” = “white.”

After many years of promoting interracial adoption, ABC World News now takes the position that white foster parents “do psychological harm” to the black orphans they “adopt.” The hosts of The View have said they don’t want to hear any more stories about white people saving the day for blacks.
Bertelsen and other black adoptees tell a similar tale: They felt estranged from the people around them who they instinctively knew from an early age were different from them, and yet cut off from their own racial identity and culture… “It was a hard truth for my parents”…
For more than 20 years, starting in 1972, transracial adoptions in the United States all but ended after the National Black Social Workers Association condemned them as cultural genocide…

Generation5 proposes three options for churches who wish to remain on the biblical side of interracial marriage:
- Interracial marriage is a positive good and ought to be outright encouraged in the Church. Those who would advise against interracial marriage for moral or practical reasons have violated the “Law of Love” and should be shunned and excommunicated from our fellowship.
- The Church ought to remain neutral on extra-Biblical considerations of marriage and leave liberty of conscience to families and their children on the issue of interracial versus intra-racial marriage.
- The Church should by analogy encourage the Biblical pattern of respect for tribal and ethnic boundaries and encourage a norm of intra-racial marriage, while being careful to tolerate and love those who choose otherwise.
We can’t recommend any of the three. Miscegenation is either right or wrong, and churches are never going to be neutral on it, nor should they. If it’s right, they’re not going to “tolerate and love” those who oppose it, and if it’s wrong, they’re not going to “tolerate and love” those who promote or engage in it.
A “delightfully Asianised” church in Sydney has held its last service in English. It’s always said to be “delightful” when whites are dispossessed. The pastor even calls it downight healthy: “At a time when church-going for Caucasian people seems to be diminishing, it is a healthy thing for our church to become more ethnic… It would have been easy to say ‘This is an Aussie church’ but it would have been unreasonable and wrong. We live in a land enriched by migrants.” Has a non-white person ever, in the history of the world, referred to his homeland as “enriched” by the presence of white people, even if it’s true?
Preachertainment rises to a new level. Flesh-and-blood types will have to compensate for this new frontier in Relevance by starring in more wigger videos.
On page 243 of this book, there is an interesting anecdote about Quakers:
It shows how far the Quakers at this time carried their peculiar doctrines that one of this religious body residing in this country whose wife had been ravished by a negro refused to prosecute the criminal. This man’s daughter, when called upon to testify in a case in court, declined for conscience’s sake to take the oath; put in jail, she begged the justices to excuse her delinquency…
This sums up everything that’s wrong with Christians. They live for the moment when they can sacrifice the chastity of their own families for an obscure theological doctrine or some other abstract principle. This is what the western High Noon is about.
See this page and this page and others for examples of how pro-life, conservative Christians love to lie, even when it’s not necessary, but just to grind an axe. As you know, they love to equate abortion with slavery, which doesn’t hold biblical water. They also like to paint Hitler as the devil himself, and they do not scruple to tell lies about Hitler, as long as the lies can be used to make some totally unrelated point. A friend of ours identifies this as one of the primary traits of a cult. They say that Hitler legalized abortion in Germany, Hitler disarmed the German populace, etc. No, he was for disarming and deporting Jews. And while abortions under the Weimar Republic were sky-high, they declined sharply when Hitler took power. Soon there were pregnant women all over Germany, and the Nazis encouraged families to have no less than four children. Pro-lifers are not allowed to mention this inconvenient fact, of course. You can’t expect them to compliment the devil, can you? They’re too busy waving the American flag, which has flown over the abortuaries where tens of millions of babies have been murdered.

A distraught nation can once again take a deep breath and tuck their children in at night without fear. The prankster is charged with bias, intimidation, and harassment. (And he’s probably black.) Where do they come up with these pseudo-crimes? Aren’t intimidation and harassment the same thing? I can see how the act was intimidating, but how is “bias” a crime? I’m interested to see what the defense attorney does with this.

It’s the bleating educational standards that have made Americans stupid!
In the post-Sputnik era, poor states demanded federal intervention to regulate educational achievement because they had fewer resources. Now, even the poorest states spend enormous amounts on edumacation, but since the empire never gives itself a pay cut or devolves power in any way, it must find a new excuse for intervening. That excuse is the racial achievement gap, but as Steve Sailer shows, the racial achievement gap is not unequal by state or even by school district, because it has nothing to do with wealth. It’s the same everywhere, and no one has ever found a way to close it. So what excuse does the empire have for getting involved?
It’s not as if some states or school districts have discovered solutions for racial gaps, and the federal government only needs to impose those solutions on a few recalcitrant bigoted states. In fact, the most liberal of the 51 “states,” the one that is most under control of Congress, the District of Columbia, has by far the largest white-black gap in test scores of any in the country.

At Oxford University in 2008, there were only five blacks in a class of 3,000. “That’s about what you’d expect without affirmative action.” It’s always wise to steer clear of non-white professionals. Are you willing to trust your prostate to a doctor who got his degree by filling a quota? I didn’t think so.
Diversity is the last thing you want when you have a highly-specialized job to do. “Special-operations units have the least racial diversity in the military.”

The new health care entitlement is driven by race. The Yankee government is now forcing us (in the middle of a recession) to pay the medical expenses of those who can’t pay for themselves, and a large portion of these are what President Eisenhower called wetbacks. The unprecedented burden about to be placed on white shoulders is not to alleviate the very real problems that whites have with the current system, such as how to be covered even when out of work or with a preexisting condition. The burden is almost entirely due to the fact that the borders have been opened, and now parasites are gnawing on the national flesh. Add to this the burden of the black race, which is notoriously violent, diseased, and lazy, and you have a recipe for economic catastrophe. Socialism is bad enough, but it’s at least somewhat sustainable among whites only, as the Scandinavian countries prove.
James Buchanan knows that the new health “insurance” will turn out just like the car insurance swindle. When universal car insurance was mandated, insurance companies got rich, but there was one small racial detail that do-gooder liberals overlooked. The millions of wetbacks who were allowed to waltz across the border never felt the need to follow the law and buy coverage. So a white man who pays his bills dutifully every month can have his wife and children taken from him in an instant by someone named Jesus or Angel, and he has no redress for his grievances but instead will be liable for the wetback’s damages. Gun control laws turn out the same way; criminals, by definition, do not obey them. This is all very perplexing to liberals.
Debt is on its way to 90% of GDP.

In total, nearly half of the recession’s casualties are white men, having held 46% of all jobs lost.” Keep in mind that China has a surplus of men due to that country’s barbaric abortion policy. It stands to reason that China will be more aggressive in business, even as the feminized USA appoints women to the highest positions of power in both the public and private sectors. Every convenience in life is both created and maintained by men, and 1) This will never change, and 2) We will soon be much poorer if women continue to take jobs from men. If 70-80% of all jobs are being lost by men, and half of all jobs by white men, it means that buildings and highways are not being built, trucks are not being driven, crops are not being planted. Women, who have so far managed to hold on to their air-conditioned office jobs, will soon find themselves unemployed simply because only men can keep the world moving. We can have feminism or we can have prosperity, but we can’t have both. And since we’re “racists” as well as “sexists,” we’ll go ahead and tell you that blacks and mestizos will never have the productivity of white men. When white men lose jobs, it means that a Third World economy approaches.

At about 8 minutes in, Spencer asks whether today’s phony race-mixing “Christianity” is a counterfeit or if it is more true to the original than what has transpired in the last 2,000 years. McNallen opts for the latter, and this is the point at which we cut through all the paganist bullcrap and get right to the nub of the matter. McNallen admits that he can’t accept any religion in which he is not God. He is repulsed by the apostles calling themselves slaves of Christ. His “free will” is what gives him “an inner sense of self-worth,” yet his “free will” is unable to add a single day to his life. This only proves that he is not the god that he imagines himself to be. Only now are Christians consistent with their “defeatist” ideology, he says, yet for 2,000 years these “defeatists” conquered Rome and all of the West, and at the same time preserved their ethnic distinctions. It’s just one contradiction after another.
McNallen calls mead (honey wine) a sacrament of sorts: “a vehicle of the divine energy.” He actually says he worships the gods, unlike Alain de Benoist, but since nothing can supersede McNallen’s ineffectual “free will,” he calls the gods “kin and friends.” He is “loyal” to the gods in the same way that he is loyal to his friends. I’m sure this is considered sufficient, especially when chased by enough mead, but the West will not be saved unless a certain number of heroes lay down their lives in defense of their people. There is no greater love, said Jesus, and He proved it. Rather than self-sacrifice, the pagan play-actors with their steins of mead, Thor’s Hammer necklaces, and Viking helmets induce little more than scornful laughter.
The real question is how a movement of white nationalists or an “Alternative Right” proposes to save the West that actually exists with silly, childish stories that were long ago rejected by the West. The need of this hour calls for men, not self-indulgent little boys.

I read the McNallen interviews, definitely belongs in the Society of Creative Anachronism or in some pre-Christian folk re-enactment society. In his proper context, he could be a lot of fun.
If he were perchance to ever read something like Julius Caesar’s accounts of Rome’s Gallic War and meet up with the real northern pagans that would be a different story. The Druids would have scared the pants off him.
This is because as the Psalmist tells us: “the gods of the Gentiles are devils.”

St Patrick was ordained for Eire by a successor of St Peter. He was sent as an apostle to a nation.
One of the reasons why Eire converted as a nation was because St Patrick confronted the Druids before the High King at Tara. And there in the sight of the King and the people, he broke the rede of the Druid Bond using the power the Holy Spirit over their magick.
The crash of Thor’s oak and the breaking the Rede at Tara means more than just the end of superstition in the minds of people. It means more than the realization that the gods who were ignorantly and superstitiously worshipped are indeed no gods.
It means that the power of devils is ended over a nation. The captives have been set free by works of the Holy Spirit.

Great comment, Lynda. You’re right, they’re trying to return the Volk to superstition. They use words like “honor” and “dignity” to describe this primitive state of affairs, but in fact it was horrifying.
It is because the West has been so greatly blessed that I despise pagans, even when I can tolerate atheists. Men like McNallen really drive home what 1 Samuel 15:23 says about rebellion being as the sin of witchcraft. In his rebellion, he imagines himself to be god, and he seeks to lead everyone else astray, not in ignorance but in self-worship.
Think of what Christianity has done for the status of women (see the Tocqueville quote above). Even though the truth is plain for all to see, it’s difficult to find any Christians in the pro-White ranks. There are many pagans and atheists, and it makes me very sad, because all their efforts will come to nothing.
Ehud, Bret is one of our favorite pastors. You can tell that he gives a lot of thought to the things that concern us too, even if he doesn’t agree with us on every point. This theme of the might of the Crucified is a recurrent theme of private devotions made for Tenebrae throughout the centuries of the West.
In The City of God, Mary Agreda who belonged to a Franciscan order of religious wrote of her contemplation of our Lord’s Passion. Specifically she meditated upon our Lord’s seven final words.
This meditation is unusual, very unusual, in that by Divine graces, as I believe, she was given to perceive with theological understanding the scene of the Passion as it was viewed and experienced by Lucifer and the fallen angels – also gathered at Golgotha where the judgement for the world was set, where the Prince of this world was judged and cast down by the might of the Crucified.
The subject of Mary of Agreda’s meditation is what Lucifer and the fallen angels understood at Golgotha.
One clarity that emerges from these writings is that until our Lord was lifted up, the pride of the fallen Archangel had concealed even from his Archangelic intellect the fact of our Lord’s Godhead and the union of his Divine soul and human nature veiled in his flesh.

One of the most liberating things that occurred to me when I left RC’ism, for Orthodoxy, was that I could still hold to the saints I loved who were logical, orderly, and holy, but no longer had to listen to, believe, or be ‘tossed about by every wind of doctrine’ by such things as the “Fatima,” “Lourdes,” ‘Medjugorge’ et al ‘Marian Visitations, that conflicted with biblical doctrine as was known by Augustine, Chrysostom, Calvin, Luther, Whitefield, etc.

Doug Wilson writes a post reviewing a book by Peter Hitchens, in which Hitchens bravely states that much of the pseudo-patriotic hooplah about the Allies in WWII is not only misguided, but a false religion.
This is met with a few Reformed responses basically agreeing that U.S. involvement in WWII was disastrous for a number of reasons.
Then a fellow named David Wyman shows up telling them that they are inaccurate, and that we actually should have sent our boys off to slaughter Germans sooner than we did (with the usual assumption that Americans have a duty to correct every injustice in any part of the world, even when the morals of the situation are ambiguous and the allies are worse murderers than the enemies.) I Googled David Wyman and found out he is your typical Holocaust researcher and a borderline hatemonger, though nowhere near as bad as Foxman.
I guess in retrospect there’s nothing too strange about this situation, it just struck me that whenever the topic of WWII comes up, someone with establishment laurels will be ready to spout the official history and play the anti-Semitism card – even on the blog of a small-town Idaho minister.
Yes, the Wyman comment is stupid. Enthusiasm for the world wars had to be kept alive by propaganda about attacking the evil Hun. The lies quickly multiplied, and so did the casualties. It’s easy to forget that the wars accomplished nothing except to nearly destroy the white race. Only the Jew won World War Two. Most frustrating of all is that the lessons are never learned. Look at how Bush’s War was founded on lies, but it took no time to whip the sheeple into a hysteria. The families and friends of the dead memorialize them for a lifetime, which is why it usually takes a hundred years to analyze history with some semblance of objectivity, but by then the empire has long since diverted attention to some other manufactured crisis.
Doug Wilson once again shows his gift for saying nothing: “The Christian approach to this thorny problem is to honor God above all, and to render sharply subordinated honor to our assigned nation, whatever that nation may be.” It doesn’t sound like his family has rendered sharply subordinated honor at all, unless he is referring to what they whisper to themselves behind closed doors.

It fully seems natural that we’d preserve this part of Creation since it seems to encourage us to serve God, but maybe I’ve still more to learn on that. Seems like there should be more there though.

The Celts obviously believed in a soul – it was in the head.
I can’t imagine a “pagan” not believing in a soul… This sounds like an atheist who’s gone mad.
If man is a mere disease of the dust, just how did it come to be so combined? I don’t grasp how people can believe such a complex being as man randomly evolved.
And certainly if we merely evolved, it’s logical that there’s nothing worth preserving or otherwise serving – and thus no means of winning honour in service of something greater than the self.
