"The white race is different to all other races.."

Nowhere is this more evident than in the observations of the young and their adventures. With the adventures of my own children, some of which they shared with children of the South Pacific - the whites played differently and with greater self-abandonment, less purposefully and for more fun.

I started to become racially aware when my sons were in their early teenage years watching them play.

In the ocean sports, the people of the South Pacific race the long boats and they dive. They hunt the waters for food and travel the currents for trade, migration and recreation. And they are strong enough, skilled enough to get kyaks and outriggers past the big breaks of the outer reefs. And they surfed the inshore breaks.

But the whites surfed far more adventurously. They challenged the big waves and some of these waves were massive outer reef pipelines. They would just get a board and paddle out there. And when they couldn't get through the outer reef breaks on a surfboard, they would get their native friends to take them out on the kyaks. They did not hunt the marine animals that joined them on the waves - and some were more fun loving than others.

The mantas esp seemed to find the young surfers fascinating. From the boats you could see the line-up (all white) young men about 15-16, riding in the gutter waiting, each one waiting for the turn to drop into a breaking wave. It was common to see a manta as huge as a truck just surface by a kid that it could have just killed with its wing-like flipper.

And when a surfer would drop into the wave, the ray would leap from the water, clearing the surfer and swinging its mighty tail with its lethal spike wide of the boy as they both crashed down the break.

Once I said to my son: "why is this your sport? why do you go out there and risk your life like that?"

He said: "mom, they are not going to hurt you. They are just showing off."

The island people knew the outer reef breaks were enormous, huge forces. And the rays were dangerous, diving down on the reef if you bothered one that was buried in the sand, they would kill you, just spike you with that lethal tail. You certainly didn't reach out and pat one - the way I saw many a white boy just reach out and pat a ray that was cruising the line up, swimming just underneath the boards.

Many times, the native people attempted to communicate their wisdom of the sea to the young whites. To no avail. To the natives the giant and lethal rays were masters of the deep, their places of repose in the lagoon respected by all divers and fishers, even the sharks.

But to the young whites they were surfing partners on the outer reef breaks. They cruised the line-up just under the boards when the roar of big one sounded - still far out - as if to say to the partners 'get ready, its coming'.

Only the Christians among the native boys ever joined the young white men on the outer reef breaks and took to the big waves, even though the strength of their people was such that they could row an outrigger through those waves and pilot it into the ocean currents.

Laudate Dominum de terra, draconis, et omnes abyssi. Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all deeps. Ps 148. There are mysteries here.

I happened to stumble across this article titled "Nigger Peculiarities" from the English humorous magazine "Punch" of 1841. It is both entertaining and of historical interest, confirming the old saying, "The more things change, the more they stay the same." The comical battle between two niggers described in this article has much in common with the one depicted in the "Nigga Moments" episode of the television program "Boondocks."

Punch: (about 1/2 way down the page is "Nigger Peculiarities")

Forget, please, "conservatism." It has been, operationally, de facto, Godless and therefore irrelevant. Secular conservatism will not defeat secular liberalism because to God both are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and thus predestined to failure. As Stonewall Jackson's Chief of Staff R.L. Dabney said of such a humanistic belief more than 100 years ago:

"[Secular conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today .one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt bath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth."

Our country is collapsing because we have turned our back on God (Psalm 9:17) and refused to kiss His Son (Psalm 2).

I'd prefer not to have to get my hands dirty farming, but I greatly appreciate how useful ammonium nitrate fertilizer can be, and keep some around just in case I might someday feel that there is no alternative but to get into farming. In our day and age, anything can happen, and when push comes to shove a man's got to be prepared to protect his family from the threat of starvation!
