Little Napoleon Phillips, the notorious racist, is trying to put the best spin on it, but I’m sure he has to swallow hard knowing that a notorious racist has just endorsed the notorious racist running for president in the party founded by his notorious racist father. Actually, it’s all very silly, but such is the world in which we live that we might as well call everyone a racist who has a modicum of good sense. Ron Paul, who had Lew Rockwell write the racialist commentary in his old newsletters, is put out with libertarian looney Bob Barr for not showing up to his recent multi-partisan gathering. Barr probably didn’t show because libertarians do not like theocrats. They want to be able to kill babies, view porn, and smoke crack without government interference. Paul appeals to them only because he avoids God’s law entirely and, under the guise of constitutionalism, says such thorny issues should be decided by states. So Paul, a lifelong libertarian, would naturally have endorsed Barr if Barr had simply played along. Now Paul has endorsed Baldwin instead.
