For his second big “race speech,” Obama went to Independence, Missouri, on June 30 and gave this little history lesson:

On a spring morning in April of 1775, a simple band of colonists [did thus and such]… They did so not on behalf of a particular tribe or lineage, but on behalf of a larger idea. The idea of liberty…

So put out of your mind all the stuff about consanguinity that Tom Jefferson and John Jay wrote. For instance, in A Summary View of the Rights of British America, Jefferson wrote of our forebears, “For themselves they fought, for themselves they conquered, and for themselves alone they have right to hold.” Forget about the very first naturalization law, written just a few years later, being limited to White people.

Then what, for this “man of mixed race, without firm anchor in any particular community, without even a father’s steadying hand,” is patriotism, since it obviously cannot be the pre-rational love of blood and soil? The answer is that “it is this essential American idea – that we are not constrained by the accident of birth but can make of our lives what we will.” Among these accidents of birth, of course, are such trivial details as who our parents are and in what country we are born. From Obama’s point of view, his Kenyan father should have just as much right as he does to be elected President. So then, does patriotism mean turning our backs on our families and our people to march boldly into a future determined by ideological abstractions? Apparently.

Patriotism is always more than just loyalty to a place on a map or a certain kind of people. Instead, it is also loyalty to America’s ideals – ideals for which anyone can sacrifice, or defend, or give their last full measure of devotion. I believe it is this loyalty that allows a country teeming with different races and ethnicities, religions and customs, to come together as one. [emphasis mine]

You may love America (“the place on the map”) with all your heart, and you may care for your fellow Americans (“a certain kind of people”) before all others. According to Obama that does not make you patriotic, however, unless you also believe that “anyone” can and therefore at least in principle should become an American, on the grounds of his or her loyalty to the ideal of a multicultural, multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-confessional, tolerant, all-inclusive, diverse, anti-discriminationist, redistributionist America.

“That is the community we strive to build,” Obama concluded, “one in which we see ourselves as part of a larger story, our own fates wrapped up in the fates of those who share allegiance to America’s happy and singular creed.”

George W. Bush agrees. A few days later, on July 4, he preached this universalist sermon:

Thomas Jefferson understood that these rights do not belong to Americans alone. They belong to all mankind. And he looked to the day when all people could secure them. On the 50th anniversary of America’s independence, Thomas Jefferson passed away. But before leaving this world, he explained that the principles of the Declaration of Independence were universal. In one of the final letters of his life, he wrote, “May it be to the world, what I believe it will be – to some parts sooner, to others later, but finally to all – the Signal of arousing men to burst the chains, and to assume the blessings and security of self-government.”

The very word, “patriotism,” comes from the Latin word pater. Patriotism, therefore, is loyalty to the fathers of our blood, not merely to ideas and abstractions. Likewise, the word “nation” comes from the Latin word nationem, which means “stock” or “race.” We get the word “natal” from the same place, which has to do with birth of flesh and bone. Even the pre-Christian political philosophy of natural law is said by Cato to have manifested in the mos maiorum (the traditions of our ancestors). A nation is most certainly not merely a group of people which has decided to dwell together, as Ernest Renan said in 1882, paving the way for multiracial bastard-nations. The Germans have a long word for this disastrous replacement of blood with ideals: verfassungspatriotismus, which is patriotism merely to the constitution of one’s country. And this is exactly how patriotism is defined today, along with an affection for the stars and stripes, a tax form in the mail, and an eagerness to die for Israel. These crucially important words – nation and patriotism – have been rendered meaningless.

Now, notice how closely what you are about to read matches what was said here earlier about the “Americanism” of Alan Keyes, which must lend legitimacy to the Philadelphia coup of 1787 only because it is what gave Lincoln his authority; and without Lincoln’s genocide, there could have been no home at all for black people.

Obama’s falsification of history has the clear purpose of back-dating the credal concept of “patriotism” in the very birth of the nation… His definition rests squarely on “sacrifice” and “call to service.” For the uninitiated, it means the “haves”—mainly European-Americans—willingly enduring higher taxes to pay for yet more government programs supposedly helping the have-nots—overwhelmingly, of course, the people with whom Obama identifies, to whose grudges he panders, and whose obsessions he shared for 20 years of attendance at Dr. Wright’s (“God damn America”) so-called church.

In Obama’s scheme of things his wife, too, can be classified as eminently patriotic, now that for the first time in her life she can be proud of America thanks to the success of his political career. The “bitter” blue-collar whites, by contrast, cannot be patriotic for as long as they cling to guns, religion, and bigotry, all of which supposedly explains their antipathy to him.

As for our forefathers, who can no longer get a fair hearing in our esteemed academies of learning:

The revolutionaries—always a minority among the colonists—were motivated by the desire to defend their own interests and those of their families, friends and neighbors (“tribe or lineage”), and not by the urge to uphold any “larger idea.” Even the leaders of the American Revolution—many of them radicals by their time’s standards—did not set out to remake the political order, but to mend a flawed system and improve upon it.

Serge concludes that a mutt president is only fitting for a mutt nation that worships a mutt god.

The Obama phenomenon reflects the hysterical temperament of a huge segment of the American public, temperament prone to adolescent over-excitability and willful self-deception bordering on self-hate…

If John McCain wins next November, we are likely to end up embroiled in at least one more costly and unnecessary war abroad and there will be a blanket amnesty of up to thirty million illegals at home. If it’s Barack Hussein Obama, we’ll have a massive, revolutionary shift away from the real, historical America—the country that all true patriots love and cherish—into a mutant hybrid unfit for a cultivated person to live in.

May God help us all.

But wait! According to McCain, “in the 21st century nations don’t invade other nations.” Yes, he really said it.

It is a common White habit to create illusions of the noble savage in order to drum up support to feed them. Without White subsidies, blacks always revert to nature, with lives that are solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.

The last White farmer in Zimbabwe has been forced to quit. Now you can feed the natives. That is, you could, if your dollars were not worthless.
